Senior Front End Engineer (Seattle, WA)

We are looking for an experienced, talented and motivated Front-End Engineer to help us build a modern, consumer-grade experience for storing, synchronizing, accessing, and sharing data in our Storage Cloud.

As a UI engineer, you are passionate about building beautiful and intuitive experiences. You understand that users connect to a product because they love using it, and that every detail matters. You are committed to providing a seamless, familiar experience in each of the platforms they use every day – Web, Windows, OS X, iOS, Android. You see the Web as an opportunity to create a first-class experience as opposed to a way to merely get “reach”, and have built high-scale consumer “single-page” Web apps. You understand that the future of consumer experiences is on phones and tablets, and have built successful and highly-rated apps that are generally available in the app stores.

ROLE:

You are going to develop, test, and deliver one or more of our application experiences. You will work closely with our UX Designer to create native and Web user interfaces that are intuitive, consistent, and beautiful. You will be the voice of the customer and continuously improve the product via A/B testing and by incorporating feedback from user research.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • 5+ years building high-traffic, beautiful Web / SaaS applications
  • Expert understanding of HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, W3C standards, cross browser issues
  • Mastery of modern client-side and server-side web frameworks
  • Experience with at least one and preferably multiple native UX frameworks (Windows, OSX, iOS, Android)
  • Proficiency with UI unit testing frameworks and techniques
  • Knowledge of latest design and development trends for different devices
  • Passion and desire to make an impact in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Start-up experience is a strong plus
  • Computer Science degree

ABOUT US:

We are building a new kind of cloud storage system by pooling unused local storage from our users, as opposed to building big, expensive, high carbon footprint datacenters. Our cloud is every bit as reliable, secure, available, and accessible as those big expensive datacenters, but at a small fraction of the cost – which allows us to offer our users unlimited cloud storage at local storage price points. Our mission is to store the world’s data, and do our part to make this a greener planet.
We are located in Pioneer Square in beautiful Seattle, WA. We treat our employees as adults and have flexible vacation policies, along with the typical startup perks: lunches, happy hours in our break room (with the occasional ping-pong tournament), giant monitors, and great hardware.

Location:Seattle, Washington
Current U.S. work authorization REQUIRED
Direct hire, No Corp to Corp or Third-party agencies

We compensate generously for the right individual
