Build Engineer/Python Developer (Seattle, WA)


We are looking for a talented Build Development Engineer to join our Engineering Infrastructure team. If highly automated, feature rich, web based build systems are your cup of tea, then this is the job for you!

We create the scale-out hardware and software products that are driving the revolution in cloud computing and the big data evolution. This team manages all aspects of environments required for the engineering workflow including: development & test lab equipment, lab networks, web applications, databases, caching servers, various monitoring systems, custom tools, build environments, kitchen sinks, etc., etc…. We are tight knit team that thrives on deploying, managing, and maintaining incredibly reliable systems in innovative ways.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Advanced Python 
  • Automated continuous build and build verification systems (Tinderbox
  • Perl, Shell Scripting 
  • Multiple targets, platforms, architectures, cross-compilation 
  • Subversion or other SCM System (Perforce, git, cvs
  • Web Development, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, LAMP 
  • Database Design / Maintenance 
  • Software packaging tools (Ports, RPM, MSI, etc.) 
  • Exposure to VMWare technology 


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design/Develop new build system features 
  • Program high quality, high performance, documented and maintainable code 
  • Solidify, simplify, and optimize the build system 
  • Develop and maintain web front-end to the build system 
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing and Engineering to determine build and release requirements 
  • Create build and SCM solutions for remote offices 
  • Troubleshoot build failures 
  • Become knowledgeable about our technology and products 
  • Provide periodic support outside of core hours
